OUR PROJECTS

2023 Tele-Education Launch!

In 2023, we launched our first distance learning program in partnership with schools in Mombassa, Kenya, focussing on young girls between the ages of 6 and 16.   We provided home-base leaders in Mombassa with video conference tools and tablets, linking our students with specialized teachers in the UK, the US, and Pakistan.  We are educating up to 100 hundred girls on a weekly basis.

Educating young girls in resource-limited communities has profound, transformative effects not just on the individual but on society at large. When a girl receives an education, she acquires the tools to break the cycle of poverty and uplift her entire community. Educated girls are less likely to marry young and more likely to delay childbearing, leading to healthier and smaller families. They are also more likely to invest in their children's education, perpetuating a cycle of learning. Moreover, educated women contribute economically, increasing the community's overall income and productivity. Beyond the tangible benefits, education bestows upon these girls a sense of empowerment, enabling them to advocate for their rights, challenge societal norms, and become agents of change in their communities.

FINDING WATER IN MTONDIA, KILIFI, KENYA

In early 2021 we were able to dig a borehole for a community in Mtondia, Kilifi County of Kenya.  The residents of the community had been traveling vast distances on a daily basis for years just to get water.  Their new well is able to provide clean drinking water to everyone in the community.

Below are pictures of the well and the community enjoying it.
